Email: This information is collected as an alternate point of contact to send account updates, notifications of various account related events like login, account deletion, event registration and other in-app features.

Gender: This information is collected to prevent fraud and identify and verify the user as per the KYC details provided by the user.

Gender Orientation: This information is collected as part of in-app features, i.e. generate potential matches and notify of any new features of the platform as may be updated from time to time.

This allows us to understand information like how long a user had been waiting before they had access to the full features of the application etc, allowing us to customize their experiences.

Aadhar Consent (KYC): This information is collected in the form of a mandated checkbox at the time of registration, where a user implies their explicit consent to provide required KYC details to verify their profile information via Govt ID.

Aadhar Number: This information is collected via a third party SDK (HyperVerge), who collect this information on DigiLocker (a service provided by the Govt of India). Our service level agreement with such third parties ensures that data collected on our behalf is never stored or is deleted within a maximum of 14 days after saving a copy of lawfully allowed user identification data on our server.

Last 4 digits of Aadhar: As per the Govt of India’s UIDAI board, aadhar numbers collected from users for KYC purpose must not be retained fully, rather only the last 4 digits may be retrieved via DigiLocker Api and retained for user mapping and identity purposes.

Aadhar Details: As per the Govt of India’s UIDAI board, aadhar information like Name, DOB, Identity image, Address, and Gender are permitted to be stored for user identification and KYC purposes. The same is retained by us on our server via an api Post call.

Mandated Image 1, 2, and 3: These images are collected as part of profile personalization on app. This allows for better user experiences and can be permanently deleted by the user at all times.

Selfie Image: This information is collected to extract user face data (biometrics) for fraud prevention and identity verification. This image will be matched with the image retrieved from the user's Aadhar image. The same is stored on our server for additional verifications performed when a user uploads images/videos containing face data onto our app, to ensure fraud prevention and anti-catfishing.

Definition: Users who have purchased a membership and gained access to the app's full features.

User-Generated Content: Posts, snips, comments, ratings, date details (venue, time, etc.)

1.4. Premium Member Data

Definition: Members granted access to premium features, such as creating events or publishing group invites.

Definition: Data of members whose subscriptions have expired due to non-renewal, non-payment, or suspension due to platform misuse.

2. Face Data Collection, Usage, and Retention Policy
We collect and process face data as part of our identity verification process to ensure compliance with KYC regulations mandated by the Government of India.
2.1 What Face Data Does Our App Collect?
We collect a selfie image during the registration process for identity verification purposes. The face data collected includes:

Facial Biometric Data: Extracted from the selfie image to match with the Aadhaar profile image.

2.2 How Is Face Data Used?
Face data is used solely for identity verification to:

Ensure the user is a real person.

Verify that the user’s identity matches their Aadhaar profile.

Prevent fraudulent or impersonated accounts.

The selfie image is compared to the Aadhaar image using a secure SDK provided by HyperVerge through DigiLocker, a government-authorized identity verification platform.
We do not use face data for:

Marketing or advertising purposes.

Facial recognition outside the identity verification process.
2.3 Is Face Data Shared with Third Parties?
We do not share face data with unauthorized third parties. However, to facilitate identity verification, we use:

HyperVerge SDK: For Aadhaar-based identity verification.

DigiLocker: A government-authorized platform for secure identity verification (via Hyperverge SDK).
Note: HyperVerge uses DigiLocker which is authorized by the Government of India for KYC verification of users via Aadhar or other govt id. Face data processed by HyperVerge is not retained on their servers and is deleted within 30 - 45days.
2.4 Where Is Face Data Stored, and How Long Is It Retained?
Face data is securely stored on Amazon Web Services (AWS):

AWS RDS (Relational Database Service): Stores user identity information.

AWS S3: Stores media files, including selfie image and image extracted from Aadhar.

We follow industry-standard encryption protocols to secure all sensitive data.

When activated, the SOS feature shares your real-time location with our central monitoring team to coordinate emergency responses. This data is used solely for emergency purposes and is not stored beyond the emergency event.
